I bought Freckles on impulse without researching breeders, registries or bloodlines. She was gorgeous and I didn’t see past her beautiful blue eyes and that freckled face. She was plagued with health issues and lived a very short life of only 2-1/2 years before she had to be humanly euthanized. Please, please, research breeders, bloodlines and registries before buying. There is only ONE true registry for the Alapaha Blue-Blood Bulldog, the Alapaha Blue-Blood Bulldog Association (ABBA). It is the ONLY registry dedicated to the preservation and integrity of heritage. I’ve pointed out obvious errors in Freckles pedigree at the bottom of this page that a registry should have caught.
Take a good look at this ACA certified pedigree. Metallica’s Dam is Blue Lady. Blue Lady seems to have Lana’s Marble Lane and Nicholas’ Kelsi on one side but Willie Diesel and Lady Pearl on the other? Huh? How can she have two different mothers and two different fathers? Willie Diesel and his brother Boss Hog are out of Apollo and WHO? Smother’s Oscar is that another male? Two males produced a litter? The Dam listed as Ibarzabal’s Wendy is registered by her call name! Come on this is ridiculous!
